Hot Cylinder Electrical Wiring

The hot cylinder wiring is a method of wiring a hot water cylinder. The wiring connects the cylinder to a thermostat, which controls the temperature of the water inside the cylinder. The thermostat is typically located on the outside of the cylinder, near the top.

The hot cylinder wiring uses a three-wire cable: live, neutral, and earth. The live wire supplies power to the thermostat, which then supplies power to the immersion heater inside the cylinder. The neutral wire provides a return path for the current. The earth wire provides a safety circuit that protects against electrical shock.
